Welcome back to Sneaker Grails , a weekly segment where our Editor-In-Chief takes a look at the sneakers that he desperately wants for his collection but will probably never own because they are either stupidly rare ( like Bill Murray's adidas Team Zissous ), stupidly expensive ( like the Air Jordan 5 "Tokyo 23" ) or stupidly have never gotten a retro release ( like adidas nmd r1 grey the white/royal Nike Air Penny 1 ). This is how he makes peace with the harsh reality of not paying attention to sneakers for much of the 2000s.Some of the hottest shoes out are those which we now call iconic.

Adidas has shoes like the Stan Smith and the Superstar . Nike has the Air Force I adidas nmd original and Air Max I . Puma has the Suede and Guillermo Vilas' ( GV Special ). Reebok has the Classic and Club Champion . Asics has their Gel-Lytes and Gel-Saga . New Balance has, well a WHOLE lot of them.Adidas has done a great job in realizing that the  retro' (for lack of a better term) market is always going to be around and will always be a strong force. Its use of entertainers as endorsers and allowing them some creative flexibility within the "Originals" line supports and supplements both the standard "Originals" silhouettes and the brand as a whole.

The design is uninspiring (although if you put a swoosh on two on adidas nmd rx1 it there would be people who automatically declare them to be fire), the quality doesn't leave you with a feeling it will last longer than a few weeks and the cushioning isn't exactly destroying what adidas and Boost have built, but what they are are shoes made for the "whatever" crowd.As we have covered in this space before Nike Golf have been doing all that they can to make the game of golf more appealing to a younger audience. Through more contemporary apparel and popular silhouettes that makes sense on the golf course and of course Jordan Brand has pitched in with their retros, Nike Golf has the kids.

Yeah, the game will still be exclusive and expensive as hell and more than a few analysts say that golf is dead to the so-called millennial generation, but then again those same people said Kanye wasn't influential. Nobody knows anything and nobody knows until they give it a shot, basically, so why not make Yeezy Golf a thing?Picture this scenario for the U.S. Open this June at Oakmont, aka site of the greatest performance in golf history according to Johnny Miller because it was by Johnny Miller : For the last group we've got Keegan Bradley wearing the Air Jordan 11 Space Jam Golf as a golf shoe and the co-leader is Jason Day wearing the adidas Yeezy Boost 350& Golf.

The only question now is has it surpassed the Superstar Low as adidas originals nmd xr1 the go-to classic adidas?So you did it.
