Hello, I've just posted in a Dave Brubeck thread and it dawned on me that the first song I played in front of an audience was "A Swingin' Safari", Billy Vaughn version. I put quotes around performance because mine was for my fourth or five grade classmates. My buddy played trumpet and I played drums at the time. My mom had to schlep my little drum set to school. Snare drum, bass drum, 10" cymbal. We only knew the one song, so we played it twice. The first rock band I was in I can only remember we did "Pipeline"and "Over and Over" by the Dave Clark Five. So regardless of whether you play concert piano , bagpipes or were in a band what were the song or songs you played the FIRST time you played for an audience ? How did it go? Please help.
