Which side of the "leaks"/"no leaks" side do you fall on? Do you want you to never see the machinations behind the making of the sneaker and just want the final product and the official word of Nike/Jordan/adidas/Juan Martinez or do you crave every bit of info because it only enhances your experience?

Can there be room for both sides if we just learn to play along?Jordan Brand has always looked to Michael Jordan as its source of inspiration, yet many of Jordan's celebrated attributes are not his alone. Anyone who strives for greatness, anyone who has overcome obstacles in pursuit of success shares a common link with Jordan. And while Nike stans might disagree, the market is better when all brands are thriving and competing.I can only imagine what a kid who has grown up a Aldon Smith or Ray Rice fan  especially one that wasn't taught to be detached like I was  must be feeling right now. There's no justifying what either man did, whether it was Smith's DUI or Rice's treatment of Janay.

I didn't want that pair of Adidas on my  Sneaker Resume'.Anything that had Nike on it, I wanted and usually got. Having a job at Foot Locker helped out greatly. Shoes? Check. Socks? Check. Sweats? Check. Windbreakers? Check. Hats? Check. I had it all, like I'm sure most of you did.This year I bought my first non Nike shoe ever. Let me say that again, my first non-Nike shoe EVER, a pair of New Balance 999s . Since, I've gotten a few pairs Superstars, a few pairs of SL Loops , a few pairs of SL Loop Mocs , Rod Lavers, and a pair of Saucony Grid 9000s . It took me 30 years to convince myself that it was ok to veer off the brand.Sometimes, when I wax philosophical about my own sneaker history and sneaker resume, I sincerely regret being brand loyal.

Inspired by Irving's Hamsa hand tattoo, the sneaker's beige upper is nod to Ancient Egypt and the pyramids, while other details include grey/silver Swooshes in a chiseled finish, nike hyperchase red tongue to symbolize the nose of the Sphinx before it decayed, followed by a contrasting purple sole to represent the sunset against the pyramids.
